Resident Council
At Autumn Hills we have a very active group of residents who participate in our monthly Resident Council Meeting. They meet to discuss any concerns they may have regarding their stay. The Council is governed by officers elected each year by the residents.
All residents are encouraged to attend. In addition, the Resident Council reviews menus, scheduled activities and special events. Each month the council selects a menu for the resident choice meal.
Business Office
The Business Office is the center of information for residents, families, visitors and employees. The staff is always friendly, courteous and ready to help in any way.
A few of the many services provided include:
- Billing Department available to answer questions regarding Private Pay, Insurance, Medicare and Medicaid
- Answer phone calls
- Coordinate, prepare and maintain residents' business files
- Maintain residents' personal accounts upon request
- Accepts payment on residents' accounts
- Assists in making hair appointments
- Orders newspaper subscriptions for residents
The office is open seven days a week from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 12:00 noon to 6:00 p.m. on the weekend.
Laundry and Housekeeping Services
A clean environment is always conducive to promoting resident well being. At Autumn Hills Care Center we pride ourselves in providing a clean, pleasant, odor-free environment in which to live. Laundry service for personal clothing is available at no extra charge. Families may wish to care for personal clothing at home. Either option is available upon request.
Members of the housekeeping and laundry staff are on duty 24 hours a day. The following are some of the areas in which they may assist you:
- Re-arranging furniture in rooms
- Assisting during the admission and discharge process with the placement of personal items.
- Report any needed repairs to the Maintenance Department
- Hanging personal items
Maintenance
The physical plant of Autumn Hills is kept in working order by our Maintenance Department. They are available to assist with the following
- Minor repairs of personal items
- Wheelchair adjustments
- Temperature control
- Installation of adaptive equipment
- Plumbing concerns
- Inspection of all electrical equipment before it is placed in the resident's room (i.e. TVs, radios)
Safety and Security
We are pleased to provide a safe and secure environment for all our residents, employees and visitors.
Television cameras are located inside and outside the building. These cameras are monitored by a staff member 24 hours a day to assure resident safety. In addition to closed circuit TV, all exits are monitored by visual and audible alarms.
