Dining Services

A seasonal four-week cycle menu is utilized offering a wide variety of tempting foods. Selected meal substitutions are provided if requested. The menu is adjusted for individuals requiring specialized dietary needs.

The Dietary Department works enthusiastically with the Activity Department, preparing special foods and treats for activity events and holidays. The Dietary "Delights" take pride in their work, and enjoy serving blue-ribbon meals to our residents. "Bon Appetit!"

Nutrition Services

Various nutrition services are provided by our Registered Dietitian. Upon admission, each resident is assessed to determine nutritional needs. Specialized diets are initiated and monitored. Texture alterations are completed to meet individual chewing and swallowing needs. These items are taken from the regular menu.

Each resident is monitored for weight fluctuation by the nursing staff and Registered Dietitian. A variety of reasons may necessitate the use of parenteral or enteral nutrition. If this option becomes necessary, it will be thoroughly reviewed with the resident and the family prior to implementation. Enteral and parenteral nutrition support are available if oral feedings are unable to be tolerated.
